Country Road

Country Road is a popular Australian fashion brand offering beautiful merchandise for men, women and children, as well as home décor items. With multiple locations both within Australia and overseas, the brand offers traditional detailing mixed with modern compositions, giving customers a personal, luxuriant shopping experience. Clothing and lifestyle stores such as these require lighting styles that are moody yet bright, allowing customers to shop at their leisure and see items in their natural colours.

The brief

Our work with Country Road was a multi-store project for lighting fit outs, including the flagship store in Melbourne Central, other stores across Australia, and a store in South Africa. The aim here was to accentuate the storefront window display using LED strip lighting. The client needed the installations to have a specific colour temperature, as product colours needed to stay true to their natural hue. Since the window display also visually promotes the brand to passers-by, the perfect brightness was needed to create focal points in it, in addition to making the store appear welcoming.

The approach

Country Road was keen to find LED strip lighting that met their colour temperature and brightness requirements. After testing products by other suppliers and finding no match, they approached us. Our showroom displayed our LED strip lighting in use which helped them understand what its effect would be, and they were also able to take samples back to test them in-store. They found our LED strip lighting to be an exact match, offering the right colour temperature, brightness level and natural hues.

The LED strip from Vibe Lighting was used to illuminate the store front. The designers we collaborated with developed focal points to draw attention to the mannequins and other sartorial elements in it, bringing their visual design to life.
