Our Commitment to Sustainable Packaging
At VIBE Lighting, we are committed to sustainable packaging by working closely with Government and Industry to reduce material usage, improve design, achieve targeted recycling rates, minimise landfill waste, explore alternative materials, and support circular economy initiatives.
As a proud member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organization Ltd (APCO), we are rolling out the Australian Recycling Label (ARL) across all VIBE Lighting products. These clear, on-pack recycling icons help consumers easily identify the correct disposal method, reducing confusion and waste while promoting recycling education.
To ensure our packaging meets recyclability standards, we use the Packaging Recyclability Evaluation Portal (PREP). This online tool assesses factors like packaging shape, size, weight, materials, inks, adhesives, and recyclability in Australian and New Zealand curbside collections. It also evaluates how packaging behaves in Materials Recovery Facilities (MRFs) and subsequent processing sites, such as paper mills and aluminium smelters.
We are also working with our suppliers to phase out older VIBE packaging. As new stock is introduced, we are implementing more sustainable packaging solutions and updating on-pack labelling and artwork to reflect our commitment to responsible, eco-friendly packaging.
